eJuice and eLiquid

If you are a regular smoker but want to kick the bud habit, then eCigarette is the best way forward. This new trend of smoking has grown in popularity over the past three to four years. Electronic Cigarette brings a new kind of experience different from regular smokes; it makes use of eLiquid, also referred to as eJuice, which is heated by an atomizing component. eJuice provides the nicotine, taste and the vapor that every smoker craves for, but this one is free from the dangers of second hand smoking.

The eliquid is usually filled in the cartridges and then attached to the atomizing part of the eCig. When it comes to choosing cartridges, there are two different options available; one, the pre-filled type which already has ejuice in it, you use it up and discard it away; and two, you can buy your own liquid, get empty cartridges or take a perused cartridge and fill it with ejuice. You can do it either way.

The eLiquid is available in various flavors, there are so many ejuice flavors out there, ranging from apple ejuice to no flavor type. There are also traditional tobacco and menthol to more off-the-wall ones like mint, cherry, chocolate, vanilla, and rum. There are many who sell variety sets to allow the customers to sample different varieties of tastes, flavors, and nicotine levels before making their decision.

The nicotine levels are a major component in deciding eLiquids, and the nicotine strength of the ejuice is usually classified into high, medium and low. Make sure you see what the mg is, that is the milligram of the nicotine amount rather than high, mid and low. So people who are heavy smokers, its preferable to use 24mg as high.

Another major component customers look for is the type of base used in eliquids. There are two types, namely Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG). Propylene Glycol is the most commonly used base in eliquids, they are slightly sweet, available in many flavors, and have been certified by FDA as safe for inhalation. Propylene Glycol will give you better taste and more of throat sensation or throat hit that smokers look for. While Vegetable Glycerin will give you more vapor, which gives a more observable appearance of smoking. Clearly, liquids with PG base are more often than not preferred, but now-a-days you get a lot of hybrids that balance taste with vapor.

Please note: Be very careful where you store your eLiquid. eLiquids have high levels of nicotine and various other chemicals. Some do not have proper child safety measures, and if it falls in the hands of a child it could lead to a huge health risk.
